I am BURSTING to take my camera on a foreign trip for the first time, now I know how to use it properly. I’d been meaning to take a photography course for years – but my trip to India was the catalyst for finally signing up for one.
India was like nowhere I’ve been before – and it drove me crazy that I couldn’t capture its beauty, quirks, chaos and colours with my little point-and-shoot. My photos are my souvenirs and my way of sharing my experiences with others. I did take thousands of photos, but the image quality and colour was just so disappointing. And I had a lot to learn about composition and the technical side of it all.
Until I take off from Cape Town International Airport next, there are plenty of opportunities to hone my photography skills in Cape Town… after all, people pay thousands to visit here every year.
